Frequently asked questions
What is Railway Rumblers?
Railway Rumblers is our first game: a colourful railway world where you build trains, send them on routes to other stations, grow your station, and collect cards. You play in your browser at game.railwayrumblers.com.
Is it free to play?
Yes. You can play without paying. Buying card packs on the marketplace is optional.
What is a card pack?
A pack holds 10 cards from Series 1, which has 100,000 cards in total, regular and premium. There are currently two packs:
- Founder pack: 7 regular + 3 premium cards, currently US $50.
- First Edition pack: 9 regular + 1 premium card, currently US $20.
The cards in a pack are assigned at random, and packs are limited in number, so they can sell out. Prices are shown in US dollars on the marketplace before you pay.
How are cards used in the game?
Cards show up in your stock yard, and you can add them to your trains. A card’s traits, such as its colour and background, count towards your train’s value and bonuses.
What is Car Swap?
Car Swap is the in-game trading post. You list a card and say what you would take for it, and other players offer one of their cards. Trades are one card for one card. No money changes hands, and cards cannot be bought or sold for money or coins through Car Swap.
What do the Founder and VIP Founder badges mean?
Early players get a badge beside their name. A silver F (Founder) means you played while founder badges were being given out. A gold crown (VIP Founder) means you also bought a card pack during that time; it replaces the F. A player never has both. Badges are a mark of when you showed up, and other players can see them.
Are cards NFTs? Do I own a token?
Each card is, or will be, recorded as a token on the Ethereum blockchain. We hold the cards for you: the tokens are, or will be, held in a NineTenths wallet on your behalf, so you don’t need a crypto wallet to play. In the future we may let you move cards to a wallet you control. Holding a card doesn’t give you the artwork’s copyright. Cards have no cash value and cannot be cashed out. See Cards, coins and other virtual items in our Terms.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final, except where the law requires a refund or where a purchase failed to deliver (for example, you were charged but the cards did not arrive). In those cases, email support@railwayrumblers.com. See Purchases and refunds.
How old do I have to be?
You must be 18 or older to create an account and play. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and refund its purchases.
I can’t log in, or I forgot my password.
You sign in with your email address and password; one account works in the game and on the marketplace. If you forgot your password, use Forgot Password? on the game’s sign-in screen and we will email you a reset link. Check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive. If you still can’t get in, email support from the address on your account.
How do I contact support?
